On Monday our Windows servers were attacked by a RansomWare, a virus that encrypts all files on the server. With this attack and to prevent other servers in the network from being affected, we decided to shut down the entire Windows network, this affects all shared Windows hosting services.

The same day our experts started working to remove the virus and restore the files of the affected servers, at the same time we hired security professionals from other hosting companies to help with the problem. As we have high demand for Windows servers, our ability to solve a large scale problem is not fast, because each server needs to be fully restored and also updated so that this does not happen in the future, the average time to solve this problem in each of servers is 1-2 hours.

Today, Thursday, our teams have already restored 70% of affected services, we still have a great way to normalize everything, but we are confident to do so within the next few hours thanks to our internal teams and contracted teams. We've been working on it 24 hours every day since the virus invasion.

We would like to point out to our customers that we will respond individually to all tickets with the facts and our solutions to solve this problem as soon as possible. Our priority now is to restore all services still affected, and also to prevent our Windows network against further attacks. Also note that we are that no data has been exposed, this attack was typical of file encryption and not data theft. Our security experts claim that this is an atypical problem and not all servers were affected, it was just a few isolated cases that were quickly blocked by our internal network team.

If your service remains in trouble, please be sure to read our status in your customer area or at: https://impreza.host/status/intermittent-issues-on-our-windows-hosting-server/
