How to Install Monero GUI Wallet

Access the official website
Visit the official Monero website.

Download the wallet
- Click on "Downloads."
- Select "Monero GUI Wallet."
- Choose your operating system and download the corresponding file.

Install the wallet
- Extract the downloaded file.
- Open the
monero-wallet-guifile.

Set up the wallet
- Select the options: "Desktop entry / Yes / Continue / Advanced mode / Create a new wallet."
- Fill in the details:
- Wallet name: Enter your wallet's name.
- Wallet location: Choose the location where the files will be stored.
- Click "Next."

Save recovery information
- Copy the recovery information and store it securely.
- Click "Next."

Set your password
- Create a strong password and click "Next."

Connect to a remote node
- Select "Connect to a remote node" and click "Next."
- Click "Create wallet," enter your wallet password, and click "OK."

Sync the wallet
- Go to "Settings."
- Click on "Node," then "Add remote node."
- Search for remote nodes on Google or use ditatompel.com/remote-nodes.
- Copy the host and port of the chosen node and paste them into the wallet settings.
- Check the option "Mark as trusted daemon" and click "OK."
- Wait for synchronization to complete.

Check wallet files
- After synchronization, the files will be in the directory set during installation.
- Locate two files:
- One with the suffix
.viewonly. - Another with the suffix
.viewonly.keys.
- One with the suffix
